As with all my batiks, the design is entirely hand painted with beeswax, hand dyed, and manually cleaned in a cauldron of boiling water. This is an ancient fiber art process that can not be replicated any other way.
Colors are triple dyed in layers of turquoise and magenta purple, and deep dark midnight blue.
The sizing and color is set.
Fabric is a high quality, medium-thick 92% cotton and 8% Elastane. The pants are sewn by Dharma Trading Company before I begin the batik process.
